Nightshot

The design Nightshot is a panoramic photo taken at night with very low lighting, 100 meters above the city of Ludwigshafen in Rhineland-Palatinate Germany. Created as an introduction to start a virtual tour of a customer. The photo was not a customer's specification, but Mathias Weil thought it would be beneficial for the VR-tour to start it in the sky with a panorama shot at night. - In the end, the client was very impressed with the image and asked him to do the same for all their other tours. Based on this project, Mathias started a completely new concept for his VR-tours.

Eye Candy

The emphasis of the series is on the different sunglasses worn by the model in every image, bathed in vibrant neon lights from signboards on the streets at night. Consequently the images are strongly biased to the color tones of the specific neon lights near the model, creating interesting low key results

Found

This was a self initiated project born out of a love for the mundane and the unknown. As a creative, challenges fuels progression. This specific challenge was to show that beauty can be found in the least likely of places. The only requirement is to have an open mind and to look at random found objects as more than what they appear to be.

Showing al the engineered and designed elements of the new Running shoe by On Running Shoes. The key in these visuals is emphasizing both function and beauty of the engineered elements. Show the complexity of a shoe in both its elements and also its total. The final product is more than just the addition of all elements, it is an intricate balance. In the end thhere is a stabile and beautiful running shoe

Create an atmosphere and overview which suits the new collection in a black and white feeling. Modern yet timeless.The style should always match the design created by Marjolein Delhaas. Some keywords are timeless, modern, clean and bold. As always a challenge to create a image which is minimalist yet exciting and unique to look at.

Metamorphosis

The site is at the Keihin Industrial region in the outskirt of Tokyo. Smoke billowing consistently from chimneys of heavy industrial factories may depict a negative image such as pollution and materialism. However, the photographs have focused on the different aspects of the factories portraying on its functional beauty. During the day, pipes and structures create geometric patterns with lines and textures and scale on weathered facilities creates an air of dignity. At night, the facilities change to a mysterious cosmic fortress that of sci-fi films in the 80's.
